CPAC Comment

I love CPAC (otherwise known as Conservative Political Action Committee). I've gone to several different cpacs over the years. I was even planning to go this year, but I wasn't about to cancel my sweet deal of $69 a night in Time Square New York.

But I was particularly interested in this year's CPAC, because Glenn Beck was to be the keynote speaker. And since I think Glenn Beck doesn't just regurgitate the same talking points that most other commentators talk about.
So when the the convention was over I downloaded his speech, and started reading.
Sadly I think I was a little disappointed though.

Anyone who knows anything about Glenn Beck knows he's a recovered alcoholic, and that has been his main selling point over the past years. You would also know that another claim to fame is his research into the progressive movement.

When it came time to giving the CPAC speech, Glenn Beck started off well with a couple jokes, got the crowd going, and then started to focus on how the progressive movement is the cancer of this country and the constitution. I'm fine with that. But after a while I had to stop reading because I felt he was trying to hard to put blame on one side or another.
Generally Glenn Beck does his research for his talking points, and he doesnt blame.
But this speech I felt had too much blame, with no research, and he was just reieterating his recovering alcohol story and what progressives have done to the country.
